Is it just me or is the month of May flying by? It feels like the Easter celebrations weren’t so long ago.
Yet, here we are, on this Pentecost Sunday, bringing a close to the Easter season. On this day, I pray that
you remember your own celebration of Confirmation. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide you and
give you strength now as it happened as you received the sacrament, your own “personal Pentecost.”

This Sunday, 15 individuals from OLG will be encountering Christ through the sacrament of Confirmation
at 2pm at Ss. Cosmas and Damian with Bishop Malesic. In collaboration with other parishes last year, we
requested the date of Pentecost Sunday for Confirmation- and were overjoyed when the request was
granted. Please pray for those receiving the sacrament- names are listed in the bulletin.

Also, this weekend, we have the great opportunity to welcome Marcus Fletcher into the faith as he
receives all 3 Sacraments of Initiation on Saturday. Traditionally, this takes place at the Easter Vigil, but
we can welcome individuals into the faith outside of the Easter Vigil Mass, as long as they are well
prepared. Marcus is prepared and I look forward to him continuing his faith journey here at OLG.
Thank you to Becky Soder who has helped prepare Marcus for RCIA and helped prepare our Adult
Confirmandi to receive the sacrament!

I’m sure you noticed the banner in the front of the church recognizing our Nordonia seniors, but I’d also
like to acknowledge and congratulate all of our graduates from OLG that attend Twinsburg and
numerous local Catholic schools!

Married couples- Here is a great opportunity for you to enhance your marriage! OLG is hosting part 3 of
our marriage enrichment series on June 1 at 5:30. I invite you and your spouse to share in this evening
of prayer and insight into strengthening your relationship when it comes to financial matters. We will
have a catered Southern BBQ dinner, followed by a talk from our speaker, Jeri Leigh Siss. Robin and I
have gone to the previous 2 talks and we even refer to the content of the talks in our daily lives. This is
for all lengths of marriages. It is $40/couple and you can register on our website.

Lastly, our VBS team would like to extend our warmest thanks for your generous donations and your
hungry bellies during our fundraiser a couple of weeks ago. We received a check for $400 from Raising
Canes, with a total collection amount of almost $1000 which will help us purchase supplies and
decorations for VBS this July! Thank you for your generosity.

It’s a blessing to be a part of such a beautiful church family, may God continue to pour out His blessing
to you and your families!

Send your kids on a splash-tastic adventure!

At Scuba VBS, kids dive into friendship with God! Scuba is filled with awesome Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, and touch! Hands-on science experiments, team-building games, unforgettable Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life.

(Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and sturdy shoes.)

Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!

PSR/Confirmation 2024

PSR for 2024-2025 will begin on September 15 and 16, 2024. Kindergarten-2^nd grade will be on Sunday mornings from 9:30am-10:30am. 3^rd grade-7^th grade will be on Monday evenings from 6:30-7:45pm.

Confirmation classes for those in grades 8-9 will be on Sunday evenings again this year.

Diocesan Young Adult Co-Ed Softball League 2024

Welcome to our Diocesan Young Adult Softball League. This is an opportunity to play softball with other Catholic Young Adults, enjoy one another’s company and pray together before and after the game. Games will be held on Sunday afternoons between the hours of 12:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. throughout June and July and finish with a championship in August.
